Today is World Letter Writing Day (WLWD – I love a good acronym) which was started by Richard Simpkin, an Australian photographer, artist and author. WLWD is a tribute to the art of the handwritten letter and a way to celebrate and continue the joy of receiving snail mail.
In our modern world, we revert to texts and FB posts to stay in touch with our besties and loved ones. And while I love what technology can do to keep our world small, Pretty by Post® celebrates and stands for the sacred art of handwritten correspondence and intimate connection. We know handwritten cards have the power to connect people in a way that just isn’t possible via a text message, Tweet or Facebook post.
World Letter Writing Day Challenge
With this in mind, I thought it would be fun to hold a mini challenge and giveaway in celebration of WLWD. Send a card or handwritten letter and post a pic using the hashtags #fierceloyalty and #sendcardsspreadlove (don’t forget to tag me @prettybypost on IG or @prettybypost on FB) to be entered into a drawing for some free goodies. The winner will be picked on Monday September 4th.
