Valentine’s Day holds a special place in my heart but it’s not because I’m happily married. To be honest, my husband and I don’t even celebrate. Rather, February 14th is meaningful and special because it’s the day I was adopted and brought to the U.S. from Seoul, South Korea. In my family, V-Day is affectionately known as A-Day (Adoption Day) and we celebrate with tons of love and gratitude.
You may not be adopted, but I hope that you are inspired to let the people you care about know it. Especially your closest girlfriends. Which brings me to Galentine’s Day and honoring and celebrating the love we have for our closest girlfriends.
