I sent an email to my newsletter list earlier this week on the power of the handwritten letter AND WHOA, did I receive a ton of wonderful responses saying how much it was loved! Since I’m all about spreading the joy, I wanted to share a part of it here because it’s pretty good and I don’t want anyone to miss out (hint, hint – you really should subscribe if you haven’t already).
You Have More Power Than You Know
And when you’re perched at your desk (gripping your favorite Kate Spade ballpoint pen), you have the ability to write words that can cut through ALL noise, distractions, and overwhelm…
Words that will resonate more than any text, email, or Tweet online.
: Even if you don’t consider yourself a quote-unquote writer.
: Even if you haven’t penned a handwritten note in years.
: Even if you feel awkward putting your feelings down on paper.
Because the truth is that if you want to make the world a better place (and I know you do), all you need is a some ink, paper, and a little thing I call #fierceloyalty.
What is #fierceloyalty, you ask?
#Fierceloyalty is more than a hashtag (…but please do hash it out so I can connect with you on Instagram!)
It’s the feminine force within you that is not only devoted to the people you love most, but is also primed to fight for truth, inspiration, and real connection.
NOTHING compares to the ancient art of sending a handwritten note to a person who needs it the most.
Because you give a damn. And because it costs less than a Mocha Frappuccino at Starbucks…
Remember, you never know what your words will inspire, heal, or unveil.
Infinite possibilities exist in the ink.
[Tweet “Your words can inspire, heal, or unveil. Infinite possibilities exist in the ink.”]
Now if that didn’t motivate or convince you of the power of sending cards, hopefully the September curated collection reveal will (join the giveaway at the end of the post)!
The September Curated Collection
Jill, the lovely owner of DeLuce Design has some of my favorite cards. This letterpress friendship card is the ultimate testament to friendship.
Unfortunately, there are ups and downs in life, and you want to show up when the tears are flowing with a helping hand or a listening ear. Your love comes in phone calls, texts, surprise visits or in this case, the perfect card from Emily McDowell.
It’s the Ethel and Lucy modern day version card from Farewell Paperie. Send your partner in crime this letterpress and printed on 100% tree-free paper card, to show how much she means to you.
This hand printed and letterpressed card from Richie Designs is the perfect sentiment for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, birthday or even as an everyday card to express love.
Lastly, The Paper Cub’s screenprinted and brushed thank you card is a fun way to show your gratitude. Each piece is one of a kind and an original – variations may occur.
Which card(s) is your favorite? I love comments almost as much as I love snail mail, so please share below!
